She's taken part in the Eco Music Challenge 2011! :D
What's this challenge all about? It is an online song-writing competition organised by the National Environment Agency (NEA) for talented and passionate individuals to express their appreciation and support for our beautiful environment through music.
If she's one of the top 10 finalists, she'll be able to have a special mentorship programme with Singapore's veteran composer, Clement Chow, Timbre Music Academy's Sara Wee and Mang Irama Dusqie, as well as Intune Music School's Aaron Lim and Peng Chi Sheng. & she'll be able to showcase her talent at the finale concert held on 27 August 2011 and the winning song will be selected as the official Clean & Green Singapore song for 2011.
Made a great achieve last thursday. I went movie alone! It's something I always wanted to do. :D
Pirates of the Caribbean. Not really nice. Guess I was expecting something even better compared with the other season. But I still love how Jack Sparrow is. Pesky as usual.
I met Cheryl after the movie. & I went Charles & Keith to get a new wallet. Have been finding for the perfect one for the longest time. (not really perfect actually.) I bought this wallet in the end. I've only paid $6.90 after using the vouchers I got from Jon as my birthday present and Cheryl's member card.
As you all know, I went Hiatus for a week on my blog. Cheryl and I brought our mums over to Hong Kong as their Mothers' Day gift. We went there for a total of 6 days. I'm gonna split this whole trip into 6 different posts. Alright, I'm gonna start with Day 1.
16th May 2011: We reached the airport at 430am. Gonna check-in the luggage(s).

Yay! got my boarding pass! Checkout my pink passport cover. I totally love the pony at the side of it. That's not it...........
Not forgetting the polka dots! Awwwww. So girly! & I dont know why, it felt like the cover is 'cushion-ed'. p/s: Gonna show a clearer picture later on for the true colour of the passport cover.
We had our breakfast, then proceeded for boarding. But before that, camwhored in the washroom, for a while. :x

When we reached HK International airport, we took a cab to Disney's Hollywood Hotel.

We had to wait till 2pm before we can check-in. Therefore, we headed over to Disneyland to take a look first. *just a very stupid video of me.*

Time to check-in. & this is our room with 2 queen-size bed. Able to accommodate 4 person.

We took a nap when we got our room since we were all tired waking up very early in the morning.
After which, we had our dinner (buffet) over at the restaurant.

We went back to Disneyland at night to catch a glimpse of the Fireworks.

We went to the Ladies' Market at Mong Kok after the fireworks.
Hoping that there'll be some really good deal over there, but we were WRONG!!! That place is bombarded with all the Tiongs'! Gosh! You know how much I dislike them! Never mind, that's a small problem.
You know how much the mark up the price for the stuff their selling? It's so f-expensive! They wanted to sell my mum a 'Bugis street quality' bag for HK$480 = SGD$80 (approx)! Siao meh?! I might as well buy it in Singapore.
When you dont wanna buy, they ask you to name your own price.
Tiong: 你告诉我你要多少。 (Tell me how much you want.) Me: HK$80 = SGD$13 (approx) Tiong: 不可以！ HK$100 这么样？ (Cannot! How about HK$100?) Me: 我只愿意给HK$80。 (I'm only wiiling to pay HK$80.) Tiong: 不可以！ (Cannot!) Me: *walks away* Tiong: 好啦！好啦！HK$80！ (Okay! Okay! HK$80) Me: *evil-smile, walks back. Gave her HK$80.* Tiong: $%$%^&^&*#$@#$@% (vulgarities)
They ended up scolding you if you name them a price or when you ask them the price without buying. Like WTF?
Some readers might think I'm unreasonable, cheapo or whatsoever. But I'm just be practical/ realistic. If I wanna buy something that is of a higher price compared to that same product in Singapore, I might as well stay in Singapore and do the shopping and not waste my time, waste my money to travel all the way to HK. With the money I paid for travelling to HK + accomodation, I can buy so much more in Singapore! And those things that they sell, you can easily find them in Singapore.
Anyw, we ended our shopping at one of those Authentic Herbal Shop there.
Took a cab back to the hotel. Cheryl got one of the coin from this coin press machine in the hotel.
Finally! I'm done blogging my 1st day in HK! 5 more to go!
