Decided to bake on one fine Saturday.
Yup, outta'no where, Cheryl & I decided to bake.
Alright, here we go.
Separate the egg whites & egg yolks.
Beat the Egg Yolks until it's creamy, then add 2 tbsp of sugar.
Continue mixing it until it's thicker, and you can start adding in vanilla essence.
Mixed till the mixture becomes double that of its original volume, then pour the mixture into a bowl.
Wash the mixing bowl, and start whipping the egg whites.
Whip until they become white and frothy, then lowly add the sugar a bit at a time.
Once the mixture is nice and stiff, turn off the mixer.
Introduce the egg yolks to the egg whites mixture.
Add the whipped egg yolks into the egg whites and fold them in with the rubber spatula. Make sure not to over-mix.
Start by combining the flour and the corn starch in the sieve and using your hands, slowly sift it into the mixture. Sifting the flour will increase the amount of air in the cake, helping to make it even lighter.
45g of Butter on standby.
p/s: remember to melt it.
I wanted the cake to be red, so I added coloring.
But ended up to be pink.
Fold it all together remembering again not to over-mix and then add the melted butter to the batter, combining it in briefly.
Shift the batter into the pan.
Then send it into the oven.
Tadah!
Check to see if the knife inserted comes out clean.
If yes, the cake is ready!
We cut off the borders of it.
& it's pink!
Spread nutella over it.
*it's goodness*
Then add sliced bananas over at one side.
Then combine the 2 slices together.
Add nutella over the outer layer.
If you want, you can spread a thicker layer.
Send it to the refrigerator and let it be chilled.
After that, it can be served! :)
The thick layer of nutella & bananas. * I'm in heaven *
Anyway, it's super sinful!
